Mission Statement

To champion the UK's semiconductors industry while advocating the domestic capacities within the global supply chain. The Group will engage with decision-makers in Government to push forward the policy agenda surrounding semiconductor design and manufacturing in the UK, while highlighting the economic and skills benefits.

Semiconductors are a critical underpinning technology supporting each of the eight growth sectors identified in the Industrial Strategy, with particular alignment to High Value Manufacturing, Clean Energy, Digital Technologies, and Defence & Sovereign Security.

Semiconductor innovation is essential for the UK to maximise economic opportunities from evolving technologies, including the growth of Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Technologies, future 6G communications, the transition to SMART energy distribution, and the electrification of transport.
